This year, the World Environment Day calls for urgent action to protect biodiversity with the theme “Time for Nature” which was announced by the United Nations. The theme brings into sharp focus the importance of fundamentally shifting humanity’s relationship with nature to preserve our societies and prevent future pandemics.

The year 2020 is a critical year for nations’ commitments to preserving and restoring biodiversity in the leading up to the 15th meeting of the Parties (COP 15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity and facilitating the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) – a global initiative to restore the relationship between humans and natures.
“The food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the climate that makes our planet habitable all come from nature. To care for ourselves we must care for nature. It’s time to wake up, to take notice, to raise our voice”. This is the World Environment Day 2020’s message.
In the morning of June 5, Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve held a meeting to celebrate the World Environment Day in Phu Cuong commune. With the aims of raising awareness and encouraging good practical actions for environment protection, there were 150 participants including the members of Green Club, students and local resident in Phu cuong commune.
